DOUG NEWNUM >>
The pastor of Rush Creek Friends Church is Doug Newnum - a lifetime resident of Tangier, Indiana. He has served in ministry with evangelist Gary Wright (of World Renewal International) for over twenty-five years. In doing so, Doug has had the opportunity to minister all across the United States and in other countries around the world leading worship. He and his wife, Debbie, have 4 grown children and a number of grandchildren. Pastor Doug has been the Worship Leader of Rush Creek for many years and became Senior Pastor in September of 2013. He is a pianist, singer, and song-writer and travels with his band S.O.S. Renewal. The Independent Record Label Associtation voted him 1996 Christian Artist of the Year for his work on the album Totally Committed. REV. GARY WRIGHT
Gary is the founder and president of World Renewal International. In more than 35 years of ministry, Gary has been a preacher, educator, worship leader, and evangelist. He holds credentials with the Evangelical Friends (Eastern Region) Church. Gary has a B.A. from Asbury College and graduate studies at Trinity Divinity School. He and his wife, Carol, have 4 grown children and a number of grandchildren.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of Rush Creek Friends Chruch is to turn unchurched people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
It is the purpose of Rush Creek Friends Church to engage or lead unchurched people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and become the kind of church described in the Bible - a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest relationships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. A church that has a contagious Christianity that influences and encourages the entire community, one life at a time.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative word of God, without error.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, and His soon return to earth in power and glory.
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit, that He indwells believers, enabling them to live godly lives when surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. Only through faith, repentance and trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, can that alienation be removed.
